THE CITY OF TULSA PIPES AND DRUMS are currently and actively recruting drummers in all techniques from
blues to classical and everything in between to join our drum corp.
We are looking for snare drummers (side drummers), flourishing tenor (will teach), rythym tenor, and bass drummer for parades and possibly some competitions.
Scottish drumming is different from American style marching but not difficult to pick up. A skilled drummer would find the Scottish rudements and fundementals as interesting
as any style you have played. A beginner would be learning Scottish rudements from the foundation up and we welcome all beginners enthusiastically.
Feel free to come watch our practices 7:00pm Thursday nights at "Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church" 2801 S. 129th East Avenue. Snare drummers bring sticks and a practice
pad if you like while those interested in tenor or bass just show up. We have drummers that can answer your questions and even start teaching before the Pipes and Drums begin
rehearsing together. If you have ever been interested it just come out and take a look and you will not even have to wear a kilt. Yet. |
